I CAN’T BELIEVE THEY DID IT!

A bit back I was hanging out with the guys from BrewDog (Scotland). Professing my love for Scotland (my dad is Scottish) and my penchant for their craft beer.  Think about the storied beer culture in the UK. Now think about a couple of young kids that turns it on it’s head with extreme beer’s. Ya gotta love it. I was excited to hear of their Imperial Black Lage collaborative beer they made @ Stone and we just shot the ‘sh!t’ so to speak listening to some rock and roll on the juke.  i’ve lately been on this uber hop’d session ale kick. I love BP Even Keel and had been asking Adam to release Piglet Purgatory (Avery) again. I suggested to James and Richard – “Hey you guys should make like a 4.5% IIPA”.  It wasn’t so much in jest but guys just BS’n while quaffing topshelf brewdog’s.  Low and behold I got an email and they took the concept a whole new direction.  “How to disappear completely” an Imperial Mild. You have a 198 BU English Mild. LMAO. I mean talk about a palate wrecking device. I am now DESPERATE to try this!!  A beer that has this type of introduction needs to disclaimer on “balance” maybe just a disclaimer on “the feeling you are having from this beer is NOT from the alcohol by volume but by the buzzzzzzzzzzz from the Hops!
